Cypress, CA – In addition to rising home values, Cypress residents have something else to smile about; our Cypress Certified Farmers Market has been expanding and growing. In November we were informed about the farmers market’s expanded hours and now we are excited to hear about the increasing number of vendors. The Cypress Certified Farmers Market offers so much for our community. First, it is a gathering place for our neighbors and friends to get together, spend time with one another, support the local economy, exude community spirit, and create weekend memories. Second, it provides a healthy escape, (a hop, skip, and away), to some of the tastiest and healthiest, farm fresh foods and products. Third, in addition to supporting our local vendors and farmers, with most products produced within a one hundred mile radius, shoppers are provided the value of affordability and health. For instance, whereas most foods found in grocery stores are highly processed and grown using pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, genetic modifications, and other unhealthy practices, those from farmers markets are minimally processed and grown utilizing healthier techniques. That said, the Cypress Certified Farmers Market offers more than food. For instance, late January Kaukab Jewelry joined the market offering shiny and modern classic styles of beautiful necklaces, anklets, rings, earrings, and bracelets. In addition, we welcomed a skincare line, offering herbal skin food, face cream, serum, toner, and lip balm. Additionally, the Cypress farmers market offers art, fashion, crafts, vintage wear, and accessories as well. Furthermore, the number of vendors is growing. For instance, for tasty treats, skip the drive through and come down for BBQ, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tamales, churros, and more. And of course, we cannot forget to mention the delicious coffee and 100% natural juices.Shopping, lunch, strolling, socializing, entertainment, and community spirit, just a few of the things that makes the Cypress Certified Farmers Market a wonderful addition to our Cypress living. The farmers market is open on Saturdays now from 9am to 2pm and is located at the corner of Katella and Lexington in the Cottonwood Church parking lot.
Here is what one visitor said on Yelp, “Yes! Dreams do come true! Cypress has a farmer’s market! Check out the Cottonwood Church parking lot closest to Katella every Saturday…We have visited three times so far to scope out the cycle of vendors. There are about 2-3 grocers/produce stands, 1 honey stand, 1 baker, 2-4 food trucks + food stands, 2-4 speciality food vendors (nuts/hummus dips/salsa dips/tamales), and a few miscellaneous stands (marketing/clothes). Estimate of 10-15 stands collectively…everything I had were SO DELICIOUS and SO AFFORDABLE! My fiancé and I do our best to come out every weekend for a reload of Brother’s hummus/garlic spread and some veggies we use throughout the week. Fusion fruits are available, too – the vendors let you taste test before purchase! Yum! Parking is abundant and a breeze. There is no cover charge. Portable bathrooms + sink available.” Jessica L.
